How do I configure my existing device Yealink W52P / W56P / W60P to work with UniTel Voice

Follow the instructions below to configure your Yealink Cordless DECT phones to work with your Unitel services.


Note: This article applies to Yealink Cordless DECT models:

  • Yealink W52P
  • Yealink W56P
  • Yealink W60P



Step 1 - Connect / Power On Phone

  1. Unbox Device
  2. Connect provided network cable to the port on the back of the device labeled "Internet."
  3. Connect the power cord to the port labeled "DC 5V."
  4. Plug cord into an outlet
  5. Connect the handset base to the power plug and connect the power plug to the outlet
  6. The device will start up, and on the handset, you should see information (or a clock)

Step 2 - Obtain IP Address for Self-Management

  1. With the Base and handset powered on, from handset1, press the "OK" button. You should now see a menu of options.,
  2. Using the up/down arrows on the handset, navigate to "Status."
  3. With "Status" selected, press "OK."
  4. Choose "Base". You will observe a message "Please Wait" and then it will display information
  5. Note the IP Address (identified as IPv4 on the handset screen) _____________________________________________

i.e. 192.168.1.201

Step 3 - Configure Phone through Web Browser

  1. Enter the IP address noted above into the search bar at the top of the page. from your computer's web browser
  2. The default username is "admin." The default password is "admin"
  3. In the top navigation bar, click "Settings"
  4. In the left navigation choose "Auto Provision"
  5. Update the Server URL to http://208.89.105.252/125
  6. At the bottom of the page, click the button "Confirm"
  7. When prompted "Do you want to Autoprovision now?" choose "OK"
  8. After provisioning is complete, you will see the status change to "The operation is complete." ** NOTE: This process may take up to 5 minutes
  9. Your browser will be redirected to the login screen

Step 4 - Place Test Calls

  1. Place a test call to an "Off-Network" number to confirm calls complete
  2. Place a test call to an "On-Network" number such as another employee's extension




Troubleshooting - Factory Reset Base Station

NOTE: If you cannot login with the default username & password above, you may need to perform a manual factory reset of your device. 

  1. Power off the unit
  2. Wait 15 seconds
  3. Press and hold the connect button on the base station
  4. Reconnect the power
  5. Wait until all 3 status lights are on, showing solid green
  6. Release the button and wait 5 minutes
  7. Power off the unit
  8. Wait 15 seconds
  9. Reconnect the power
  10. Follow the above instructions Step 2 - Obtain IP Address




Handset Registration

To register (PAIR) your handset to a base station follow the steps below:,


Step 1: Put the Base Station into Registration Mode

  1. Long press the registration icon on the base station until the registration LED flashes. The base station is now in registration mode.
     
  2. If the base station does not identify a DECT phone within 90 seconds, the registration mode will switch off automatically.

Step 2: Register a New Handset to a Base Station

  1. Make sure the base station is in registration mode, and the phone prompts "Unregistered!".
  2. Press the [Reg] soft key to register the handset.
  3. (The handset will search for a base station in registration mode)
  4. After the handset is registered successfully, the phone prompts "Handset Subscribed" and "Base NO xxxx. (where xxxx is the last 4 characters of the connected Base's MAC address)"
  5. After the handset has initialized successfully, an icon with the internal handset number and handset name appears on the phone screen.
