How does voicemail work?

Every department and employee extension comes with a voicemail box. Voicemail greetings and forwarding emails are managed in your extension's settings.

All received voicemails will appear in your phone system's inbox.


You have the option to play voicemail messages directly from the Inbox.  Clicking the info icon makes available additional options, including Add Note, Download, Forward, or Delete. 

Voicemails are held in your inbox for 60 days. If Extra Voicemail Transcription is enabled, you will see the transcribed message in your Dashboard.

When callers leave a voicemail, an email with the caller's information and an mp3 file of the voicemail is attached. The email is managed in the Extension's settings.
