How do I manage my Master Admin Login?

Important Disclaimer: Understanding Unitel Voice Logins

Unitel Voice has two different types of logins, and it's important to know the difference:

  1. Master Admin Login (Account Owner Login) – Created at signup and used for account settings, billing, and system management. All invoices and main billing emails are sent to this login’s email address. This login is NOT used to access the Unitel Voice mobile app.
  2. Employee Extension Login (User Login) – Assigned to each employee for logging into the dashboard and Unitel Voice mobile app.

> Most Master Admin users also have an Employee Extension login, which is required if they want to use the Unitel Voice mobile app or manage their own extension settings. Many also have Billing & Admin permissions enabled, allowing them to access everything with their Employee Extension login. However, billing emails and invoices will still be sent to the Master Admin email address, not the Employee Extension email.

How to Update Your Master Admin Login

  1. Go to Settings > Account in the Unitel Voice dashboard.
  2. Enter the information you are trying to update
    • new username 
    • new email address
    • new password
  3. You must enter your current password in the "Current Password" field for changes to take effect.
  4. Click "Save" to apply your changes.

Username & Password Requirements

Master Admin Username Requirements:

  • 8 to 40 characters
  • Can include numbers
  • Only allowed special characters: dash (-), underscore (_), or period (.)
  • Emails are not recommended as usernames

Master Admin Password Requirements:

  • Different from your username
  • At least 6 characters
  • Must include letters and numbers
  • Must contain at least one number from 2-9 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)
  • Must contain at least three unique characters
  • Cannot include common words or patternslike:
    • 123*
    • qwert*
    • voip*
    • pass*
      (where **""** represents additional characters in a common sequence)*

>If your Employee Extension has Admin & Billing permissions, you can use that login instead of your Master Admin credentials for full access. However, billing emails and invoices will still be sent to the Master Admin email address.
